Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City is the most populous city in Vietnam with a population of 9 million. Located in southeastern Vietnam, this city was also known as Saigon and from 1955 to 1975 it was the capital of the Republic of Vietnam, commonly known as South Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City is the financial centre of Vietnam and as a major gateway to Vietnam, the city's airport is the busiest airport in Vietnam, handling over 40 million passengers in 2019. It is home to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the largest stock exchange by total market capitalization in Vietnam and the headquarters of many national and international banks and companies.

The city has a tropical climate, with an average humidity of 78-82%. The year is divided into two distinct seasons. The rainy season, with an average rainfall of 1,800 millimetres (71 in) annually (about 150 rainy days per year), usually lasts from May to November. The dry season lasts from December to April. The average temperature is 28°C (82°F), with little variation throughout the year.

Visa regulations
There are different visa regulations for foreigners, so you might check with the Vietnamese Embassy in your country for immigration details.

How to arrive in HCMC
You can reach Ho Chi Minh City with all major airlines, likely with stops in Dubai, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. A non-stop flight to Ho Chi Minh City is also available with Vietnam Airlines from several international airports.

Accommodation
There are several hotels in Ho Chi Minh City close to the SECC venue. We are recommending the Ibis Saigon South or Capri by Fraser as good choices.
